The analysis and integration of geospatial information play an important role in a variety of subject areas of geography. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) can be used at the GIUB to determine issues and processes, visualize and generate new information and knowledge through the analytical link to model spatial processes. At the GIUB GIS is used in research and teaching (geoprocessing I - III), and as well in practical applications.
